Kind of contradicting yourself when you're saying that it looks ugly yet you're also saying that you like it, but I see your point.  Anyhow, I'm glad you brought this up. It's always nice when someone shares your opinion. It just looks awful when you ruin the pixel art with anti-aliasing, blurring away all the beautiful details.  As you can clearly see in the picture above the right one looks far worse. So please, everyone, if you're playing with anti-aliasing enabled, turn it off. <3 - Spoiler:
I also play the game at 2x the native resolution of the game (960 x 704, if anyone's interested), to keep the 1:1 height to width ratio of all pixels.
